“Nascence”
Nascence is a 3D render I made on the first day of a new chapter in my life.
Inspired by the photography of Karl Blossfeldt, this piece was made to visualize my struggle with, as well as celebrate my progress with, my creative consistency. It was also made to show that over time something beautiful will come from the patience and effort I put into my work, even if the process to get there can be a bit ugly at times.
As shown in the process video, this picture was a test of my skills as well as a celebration of my struggle with creative consistency and the progress I have made there-in. Consistency doesn’t come easily to me, and that’s doubly true for my art. At least it has been true for most of my life. These last few years I’ve strengthened my ability to be inspired by many things at any time, rather than waiting around to be creative only when something whisked my emotional self off its feet.
This piece I titled “Nascence” in light of this sought-after ability to birth creativity from anywhere or anytime, rather than at the whim of inconsistent muses like emotion and personal inspiration.
